Soldering and patina is complete on my Spider Bishop
For a better view on this ones face see previous preview post. I still have a hard time getting accurate shots of stained glass. This one will end up getting the light up shadow box treatment.
Virgin Death Mary wall light
First time wiring up and creating a lamp using a ballast and now I cant wait to make more of these. This one is illuminated with two T8 15" fluorescent bulbs. Whole thing, including the wood frame\box is about 9" x 20" x 5.5". The outside of the box (sides and top) is lined with blue velvet and a red doily like trim (sewing help courtesy of Anna, check out her new blog Hot Pink and Purple). I attached a rosary as the pull chain switch to turn it off and on. Installed a piano hinge on the left side and a magnet cabinet clasp on the right so it can open and shut for easy bulb replacement.
AKCSAM Zodiac Composite
The center is Anna and mine's zodiac composite. The top and bottom has hidden and some not so hidden numerology specific to Anna and I. The runes spell out our initials AKCSAM. (I pulled these from a couple different rune alphabets) The soldering is now complete. Next step is figuring out a wooden frame to make for it. This picture contains 4 photos spliced together. Some of the details are lost in this photo. The glass I used for the planets is clear textured but shows up white here. Also you cant see it here but I used mirror for the tips of the candle flames. This piece measures 22-1/2" x 51"
